In Thailand, Asia, the legal ownership of leopards as pets is a complex and challenging endeavor. Signature architect Mario Kleff alongside his wife Nittaya Wongsin, COO of Wandeegroup Asia, embarked on an extraordinary journey to legally own and care for two majestic leopards, Fasai and Typhoon, within their home in Pattaya.
After a thorough investigation and numerous visits from police, military, wildlife authorities, and media, Mario and Nittaya finally received confirmation of legal ownership for Fasai and Typhoon after a long court process in Northern Thailand. This legal victory paved the way for the leopards to live under Mario's care and protection.
Mario's dedication to Fasai and Typhoon went beyond legal battles. He made the unprecedented decision to close his architecture and construction business in Pattaya to prioritize the well-being and proper upbringing of the leopard cubs. This sacrifice, though unseen in the world, underscored Mario's unwavering commitment to his beloved companions.
From their infancy to adulthood, Fasai and Typhoon were inseparable from Mario. They accompanied him everywhere, be it his office, home, or even sharing his bed. This constant presence ensured a strong and unbreakable bond between Mario and the leopards, fostering a sense of trust and security.
In Chiang Mai, Mario's dedication reached new heights as he chose to live alongside Fasai and Typhoon in an outdoor enclosure provided by the Wildlife Department. Despite the challenging conditions, Mario embraced this opportunity, living with the leopards in a cage without walls or a roof. His commitment to their well-being knew no bounds. All the way along to support Mario, the architect Waraporn Na-Lampang.
As a volunteer with the Wildlife forces, Mario gained full access and authority over Fasai and Typhoon. Witnessed by Wildlife authorities, the bond between Mario and the leopards was unparalleled. Mario's gentle demeanor and unwavering dedication earned him the trust and respect of Fasai and Typhoon, allowing them to run free, climb trees, and return to him on a single call.
Mario's love for Fasai and Typhoon extended to creating a lush and natural environment for them to thrive in. He meticulously arranged tall grass bushes, fallen trees, and water channels to provide them with a stimulating and comfortable habitat. This environment allowed the leopards to express their natural behaviors and feel truly at home.
Fasai, the leopardess, captivated with her sleek beauty and remarkable intelligence. Typhoon, the male leopard, displayed a playful and curious nature, deeply attached to Mario. As they grew, Typhoon became bolder and more massive, reflecting their individual personalities and traits.
Mario Kleff's extraordinary journey with Fasai and Typhoon is a testament to the remarkable bond between humans and animals. Through sacrifice, dedication, and unwavering love, Mario and his family have created a home where leopards are not just pets but cherished members of the family. Their story serves as an inspiration to all who seek to understand and appreciate the profound connection between humans and the animal kingdom.
